Donna Francart is a former deputy coroner who was assigned to investigate suspicious deaths, violent, unexpected and unknown cause deaths. During this time, she kept a journal about her experiences in dealing with families and other issues connected with the job. In addition to her job as a coroner, Francart also worked in a mortuary. Her book, “I've Seen Dead People,” not only covers her jobs but also the aftermath. Francart found herself not only seeing the dead during working hours but some visited her and her family after hours.
