Note sull'episodio
In this episode of The Burros of Berea, I sit down with Sarah Fisher, the mind and heart behind HebrewWordLessons.com, for one of the most thoughtful and refreshing conversations we have had in a long time. Sarah shares her personal faith journey, how a late-in-life awakening led her to the Hebrew language, and why studying Scripture through its original words transformed the way the Bible came alive for her. What began as a simple tool to help her learn vocabulary became a weekly ministry that pastors, teachers, and everyday Bible readers now rely on. Her humility, curiosity, and deep love for Jesus shine through every part of this discussion, and her insights into Hebrew words like hasatan, malak, ezer, and hesed challenge many assumptions we have carried for years.
This conversation goes far beyond word studies. We talk honestly about balancing scholarship and faith, avoiding speculative theology without honoring historical context, and letting the Spirit guide our study instead of turning knowledge into a weapon. Sarah offers wisdom for anyone who feels intimidated by biblical languages, reminding us that not everyone is called to learn Hebrew, but everyone is called to approach Scripture with humility and love. If you care about understanding the Bible more deeply, respecting its ancient worldview, and growing closer to Christ without arrogance or fear, this episode is for you. It is thoughtful, grounded, and deeply encouraging, and I think it is one you will come back to more than once.
