Ted seems charming at first, but the second that switch flips, everything gets so uncomfortable. We chat about Buffy being the only one who sees through him, Joyce not listening, the police treating Buffy horribly, and why this episode feels so real even before the robot reveal.

We also talk about Buffy’s sad dungarees, Joyce’s date dress, Jenny and Giles slowly finding their way back to each other, and that rare sweet moment where Buffy and Angel actually feel like a normal couple for five minutes.

It’s creepy, frustrating, weirdly funny, and somehow still such a strong Buffy episode.
