Phillies split with Braves. The starting pitching was great but the bullpen struggled. What it all means going forward.

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we talk about the Phillies' big 4-game split with the Braves. We loved what we saw from the starting pitchers, especially Jesús Luzardo, who has been the best pitcher in baseball for 3 months and threw his first career shutout to close out the series. Aaron Nola continued his resurgence and has us even more confident in the rotation heading down the stretch. But the bullpen struggled. We get into our level of concern, and how the rotation might make the bullpen better, especially in October.

Phillies start huge series with the Braves this weekend. Plus one thing we like and one thing we're nervous about with the Eagles.

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we talk about the Phillies and their huge 4-game series with the Braves this weekend, starting with a huge pitching matchup on Friday with Cristopher Sanchez against Chris Sale. The Phillies offense AND defense is improved since the deadline. Can they keep it up through this tough schedule the rest of the season? Then we give you one thing we like and one thing we're unsure of about the Eagles. The season opener against the Commanders is only 9 days away! And finally we hit a couple of quick topics. Can Penn State make the College Football Playoff? Can Temple get back to a bowl game? How do you feel about NFL players transferring back to college football? And did you see Ben Simmons is back in the NBA?

Phillies win again, their 9th straight victory. Is *this* team legit? We talk improved lineup and new defensive alignment.

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we talk about the red hot Phillies! They've won 9 straight games after Sunday's crazy come-from-behind walk-off win over the Cardinals. And we just have one question. Is this NEW version of the Phillies legit? Since the beginning of August, no team has walked more or struck out less than the Phillies. This is a lineup of on-base machines, and everybody is contributing. Plus, they moved people all over the diamond after the trade deadline. Did the defense get... better?!?! It sure looks that way, especially with Bryson Stott at third base. We're back in! We've got Phillies Phever! This team is built for October!

Phillies win at the Field of Dreams. Nola pitched well and the bats came alive. And the Eagles have their first preseason game. Should the starters play on Saturday?

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we talk about the Phillies big win at the Field of Dreams in Iowa. It was a much needed win for the Phils on the field, and we also give our thoughts on the game as a backdrop, and what it means to see fathers and sons have a catch. Then we ask if the Phillies are good enough to be a true contender, especially the way Aaron Nola has been pitching and Trea Turner has been hitting. And we break down how good Kyle Schwarber has looked and how different Bryce Harper has been since Luis Arraez got here. And the we talk Eagles preseason. Will you be watching? Should the starters play? How much do Hurts and Saquon normally play in the preseason? And then our quick thoughts on the Quinyon Mitchell training camp video. Much Ado About Nothing.

Phillies Trade Deadline Recap. They got Luis Arraez, but how do all the pieces fit? And they got two relievers, but did they need a starter?

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we recap the Phillies' trade deadline. They went out and got Luis Arraez from the Giants, a hitting machine who is a big upgrade to the lineup. But for him to remain at second base there will be a lot of people playing unfamiliar positions. Is it worth it? They also added two relief pitchers: lefty Brooks Raley from the Mets and righty Caleb Kilian from the Giants. Are we happy with the bullpen now? And we finish up by discussing the rotation. Did the need to add a starter to the mix? And who do we wish they traded for before the deadline? We open up our wishlists!

LeBron James is a Sixer! Plus the Phillies struggles go beyond the field. What should they do at the trade deadline?

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we talk about LeBron coming to Philly! After we broke out the whiteboard, King James decided to come to Philadelphia and join the Sixers. How did we find out? What were our initial reactions? And what do we think a week after his decision? Then we get into the Phillies, who have struggled since the All-Star break and are still having issues with their 4th and 5th starter spots. But we can't even break that down because of the off-the-field drama. The star player says we need help. The manager tells him to keep quiet and stop trying to take his son's job. Oh yeah, the manager's son is the general manager. And the general manager reports to the President of Baseball Ops, who the star player mentions by name. Given all this, what should they do? What can they do? We go through our top trade targets. Don't forget to go back and listen to the Whiteboard episode to figure out how this LeBron-Sixers pairing ultimately came to be.

There's history and museums and murals, plus we pick just a few of the many great restaurants you can find in Philly. And we put Bob Myers on the whiteboard! What a week for the Phillies. Cycles and homers and comeback wins! Plus we've got World Cup fever.

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we talk about the Phillies wild 5-day stretch, starting with Saturday's huge win over the Mets when Kyle Schwarber hit 3 home runs -- including 2 in one inning -- and Bryce Harper hit for the cycle. And Kyle was there! Then both guys homered the next day and the Phils won the series. And after a loss in D.C. on Monday, they had an 8-run 9th inning on Tuesday for a huge comeback win, and the next night got a pinch-hit go-ahead home run from Derek Hill in the 9th for another come-from-behind victory. And both comebacks came with two outs. And then we talk about the World Cup. We've got the fever! Team USA is looking good and things are lining up nicely for the red, white and blue. And Kyle was in the house when Brazil played Haiti at the Linc last weekend, we'll get his recap. Finally, we debut our new segment called Glove Talk (name still under consideration).
