Note sull'episodio
This week we're covering The Count of Monte Cristo, the 2024 PBS Masterpiece miniseries starring British actor Sam Claflin. We dig into the real history behind the Alexandre Dumas classic, including the true stories that inspired the plot. We walk through the main characters and the cast bringing them to life, talk about how this adaptation differs from the novel, and dive into the story's themes of revenge, love, truth, and forgiveness. We also ask why a nearly two-hundred-year-old tale of betrayal and reinvention still resonates with audiences today.
