Unscripted: Getting Real with Sophia Connett and Julia Imai - UW-Stout Women's Golf

What does it take to turn a narrow second-place finish into a dominant championship run? In this episode of Blue Devils Unscripted, Pete and Delo sit down with Head Coach Sophia Connett and standout sophomore Julia Imai to pull back the curtain on the UW-Stout Women’s Golf program.

We dive into the mental shift required to capture the 2025 WIAC Championship after coming up just short the year prior, and how the team embraced a "killer mindset" to win by a historic 48-stroke margin. Julia shares her personal journey from being a two-time individual conference champion to her elite experience competing at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship at Whistling Straits.

Plus, we get to know the person behind the whistle as Coach Connett discusses her own path to Menomonie—from her record-breaking playing days at the University of Missouri to being named WIAC Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons.
