There is nothing more important than running your own race. Being exactly where you’re supposed to be at the aligned time. In this episode BB unpacks being unaligned in her hometown Baltimore and finding alignment in purpose, identity, and stability in relocating to Chicago. This defining moment was the beginning of the BGUC.
In this episode BB has a dream that convinces her to finally unpack and allow the dust to settle from who she was into who she needed to be. Off the Clock and Culture Shock encourages us to embrace individualistic identity beyond our careers and relational obligations. It's saying "good riddance" to who we no longer need to be, "hello" the newness that we see as a part of our identity, and secure the tools to move beyond stability... into luxury, beginning with community.
In this final episode, BB learns the meaning of duality. Taking ownership of her relocation and only paying attention to what her heart rings true. She learns that relocation is not forgetting who you were in the place that raised you, but growing in stature, and embracing the new things you've aquired too. The final episode ends with the 8 Commandments of Relocation 🤪 or "Brit-alations" on how to stay true. 🥂
Welcome to Szn 2 of the Black Girls Upper Class Podcast. This time we back and taking a moment to prove that we are really like that! Because....the girls have been going. through it. Fun-employment to unemployment. Layoffs and pay offs. Managing the opps intentionally, learning continuity with dignity, diligence, and diplomacy. Is it you or is it me..because...WHAT. IS. HAPPENING? Last year we were dreaming the dreams, daring to relocate, and doing all the things. Now we're looking to our administration, the decisions being made, and every time they say "We the People...." we're asking "who is WE?" But can we blame the administration only? In this episode BB the PMP unpacks when ignore the divine pivot strategy. Facing the consequences that come with it, and gearing up for the journey that says "the only way TO is THROUGH." It ends a high note though. With Salvation, some Forgiveness, and some Self Love.
The good thing about getting wrecked is its guarantee of clarity. In this episode BB the PMP unpacks what to do now that you know what NOT to do. The goal doesn't change but the strategy does. Going off the grid sets aside a moment for setting new priorities, getting realigned , and establishing the next level up. It is not ground zero even though it feels like it. But life post-reckoning comes with a protected space. Here we master the art of "playing the offense" all 2026. Looking as if we're doing nothing to gain ground towards something.....something bigger than ourselves.
So cliche but tough times don't last forever, tough people do and that is the magic of the 4th quarter. Well Q3 since this is the last episode of this season of the BGUC. The rules of staying afloat throughout your journey from one level to the next is all about doing the best you can with what you HAVE, not what you HAD. It's being real about where you are, where this country is. It's recognizing that though we are all beings set to do intentional things on the earth that may change what's law, we still have to acknowledge the powers that be and maneuver accordingly. In this episode, BB the PMP gives the end game strategy that's different but guarantees a victory. Not the kind of victory that comes with bells and whistles but the kind where we triumph over every enemy and past versions of inner me's.
