Note sull'episodio
Living in unprecedented times calls for unprecedented measures, and Kendall and Ceres are tearing down the paywall today to bring you a very special episode of their Dworkin Reader series: My Year of Not Sucking and Fucking. This week, in light of the Roe v. Wade ruling, your they-devils take a look at two relevant works of writing, both Andrea Dworkin's Right Wing Women, and Fred Hampton's 1969 speech It's A Class Struggle Goddamnit! Using these two sources, they look at the historical timeline of abortion rights and activism, the sexual freedom movement of the sixities couples with the civil rights movement and the Black Panther party's analysis of class issues. Big Soy Naturals is here to ask the question: How do we get ready for the class and gender war that's hurtling at us at 100,ooo miles per hour, and what alliances do we form?
