S2E26: USC MVB Goes to MPSF Media Day

CrashLit heads into Costa Mesa to cover USC men's volleyball at the first ever MPSF Men's Volleyball Media at the Costa Mesa Marriott. CrashLit recaps the general themes that all ten teams present touched on (and asks USC alum Josh Friedman - now at Menlo - a question). He then dives in to what head coach Jeff Nygaard and senior outside hitter Dillon Klein spoke about, both during their press conference and in their one-on-one interviews with CrashLit. S2E25: It's Raining Cats & Dogs at Galen

CrashLit opens the episode by congratulating Makai Lemon for winning the Biletnikoff Award, and then discusses some other news in football, including a new non-conference opponent. CrashLit next talks about men's basketball's recent results and who they play next week. He also discusses women's basketball's loss to UConn, and where the team goes from here. He then discusses who made the AVCA All-Pacific Region Team from women's volleyball before announcing his plans to attend men's volleyball MPSF media days later today in Costa Mesa.

S2E24: Courtney Conlogue: The Face of a Generation of Surfers

Courtney Conlogue, the former back-to-back world #2 runner up of the World Surf League and 2019 Woman of the Year Inductee for the Surf Walk of Fame, joins CrashLit for a special episode of Behind The Caution Tape to discuss how she fell in love with surfing at such a young age, and what led her to become one of the most dominant and influential surfers of her generation. CrashLit asks Courtney about breaking through while also attending Sage Hill School, and also about what it was like to first compete on the Championship Tour, and what her experience was like during her decade-plus run competing. CrashLit then asks Courtney about her induction into the Surf Walk of Fame, before asking about her experiences coaching and trying big wave surfing and paddle boarding, as well as her business ventures. S2E22: José Mota's Baseball Career On The Field & In The Booth

Dodgers bilingual broadcaster José Mota joins CrashLit on Behind The Caution Tape to talk about his career both playing and broadcasting. CrashLit asks José about growing up going to Dodger Stadium to watch his father play and coach, to playing and winning a College World Series with Cal State Fullerton to turning pro and entering the major leagues. CrashLit then asks José about his life as a broadcaster and asks him about all the memories he made in his 20 years working for the Los Angeles Angels. CrashLit and José then talk about José joining the Dodgers broadcasting team in 2022, and what it has meant to him to return to a franchise that he spent so much time around as a kid, and what it was like to be a part of the last two World Series with the Dodgers. CrashLit starts by talking about football's win over UCLA and what bowl game he thinks the team will go to. He then talks about men's basketball winning the Maui Invitational and previews their start to Big Ten play. He then talks about women's volleyball ending the season with four straight wins and previews them hosting the NCAA's. Finally, CrashLit previews men's water polo's draw to win the NCAA and bring home another national title to USC.

CrashLit congratulates men's water polo on winning the MPSF tournament and earning the #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. He then talks about football's loss at Oregon, gives his thoughts on the direction of the program, and then previews the Crosstown Showdown versus UCLA. He next moves to men's basketball's win over Troy and previews their tournament in Maui. He then talks about women's basketball's results last week, and why they need to be dominant against their next two opponents at home. He then talks about women's volleyball's two wins, and why it is important for them to win out. He then breaks down men's water polo's three wins to claim the MPSF tournament title. Next, he discusses swim and dive's events over the week, and then talks about the notable results from women's tennis in the NCAA's.
