Episode 239: The Murder of Sherri Ponsati
From the outside, Sherri and Eric Ponsati seemed like the perfect couple-- beautiful, happy, successful, with beautiful children. But beneath the surface, their relationship was riddled with instability, infidelity, and abuse. On September 7, 2017, 33-year-old Sherri Ponsati was found unresponsive in the bathroom of her Gilbert, Arizona, home. Her husband told police that she had suffered a tragic accident—that she had slipped and fallen, and she was dead. Investigators quickly determined that this story didn’t add up; her injuries were inconsistent with his version of events and her family cited a history of domestic abuse. What really happened to Sherri?
