The anxiety and stress from racism has affected people of all races and ethnicities, especially African-Americans! It is anticipated that our discussion will encourage teachers and counselors to explore the psychological impact of racism in African-American, as well as other students of all ages. The media placed great attention on the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin murder trial and there were many broken hearts over the verdict. The continued political and media hype shines light on the negative statistics associated with unemployment, education, and poverty of African-American males.
