How are Veterans and other Adult Learners managing stress at school and work? Ask Dr. Applewhite about how she helps fellow Veterans from Vietnam era to the present Middle Eastern conflicts manage stress in the civilian classroom and workplace. All students, in classes from pre-school to graduate levels may experience the psychological impact of stress related to war, violence, and/or trauma. Stress is subjective and all human beings react differently based on their genetic make-up ,perceptions, personality, experiences, and environment.
