Episode 23: Are you revived, committed, and on the foundation of Christ?!
In this episode the trio continues their series on The Sermon on the Mount, going through the scriptures of Matthew 5: 33-37. They open up by talking about their weeks per usual and upcoming expectations for this new school year and how Revival is expected to be brought on the campus and surrounding areas. They go through the scripture and hit on revival, keeping promises, looking more like Christ by staying true and trustworthy by your word. They also hit on your foundation and where you really are situated on. Is your foundation on Christ or something else?
Episode 22: The Sermon on the Mount Series "Matthew 5: 27-32"
In this episode Walker, Denver, and Marleigh continue their Sermon on the Mount Series going through Matthew chapter 5. They first start by talking about their weeks as they have now moved into college and will start school soon. They ask for prayers of smooth transitions and safety as they start. They start the scripture with talking about adultery in the heart. They also hit very heavily on cutting off sin and what looks like practically. They speak towards the end how marriage and divorce can be seen and what to do there in some instances.
Episode 21: North Dakota Mission Trip Recap & Discussion
In this episode Walker, Denver, and Marleigh are joined with Thomas again, giving a recap of what happened on the mission trip to North Dakota and how God can and will move. They also introduce their new podcast equipment and room/setup. They have discussion on different topics relating to the mission trip as well.
Episode 20: The Sermon on the Mount Series "Matthew 5: 21-26"
In this episode Walker, Denver, Marleigh, and Bree continue their series in the book of Matthew going over The Sermon on the Mount. They first talk about their upcoming mission trip, and about their own personal weeks. Bree gives some big unfortunate news. They go through verses 21 to 26, that speaks on anger/murder in the heart. The Spirit continues to move and speaks again on their behalf like many of the last episodes. They speak on again being bold in faith, trusting in Him, being obedient in what He calls you to do. They round out the podcast with some farewell words and ask for continued prayer and listens/sharing.
Episode 19: The Sermon on the Mount Series "Matthew 5: 17-20"
In this episode Walker, Denver, and Marleigh continue their series on The Sermon on the Mount found in the book of Matthew. They start off speaking about their weeks and giving examples of just how God is good and is faithful through even the simplest of things. They ask for much prayer on their upcoming mission trip to North Dakota, for safe travels, a spirit move, unity, and just a good trip all around. Going through Matthew they discuss first off how Jesus came not to break, but to fulfill the law! Another spirit move happens in this episode as well. Not so much called tangents anymore, as it is the Holy Spirit moving and speaking through all 3 of them. They speak on going through the fire, about being refined and showing proof of faith and being made better in the struggle. They encourage the prayer of not just to get out of the struggle, but to be made better during the struggle. They go off, and encourage you to too! Be made better in the fire, not just trying to get out of it!
Episode 18: The Sermon on the Mount Series “Matthew 5: 13-16”
In this episode Walker, Denver, and Marleigh continue through their series on The Sermon on the Mount. The scripture they go through is continued in chapter 5 on verses 13-16. They speak on being a salt and light of the earth. They also tangent on the topic of God’s timing. They speak on the fact of truly trusting God and His timing, even when it’s not easy and even when you feel like God isn’t there. They encourage everyone to stay faithful and to show Jesus through everything they do. To be the light when you walk into the room and to be the salt to purify and preserve other things. They encourage everyone to mostly stay faithful.
Episode 17: The Sermon on the Mount Series "Matthew 5: 1-12"
In this episode Walker, Denver, and Marleigh start a new series going through "The Sermon on the Mount". They start with verse 1 of chapter 5 and get to verse 12. What they go through is known as the "Beatitudes". They explain first how their weeks went and the business of work and the fair. They continue by starting the new series in the text of the gospel of Matthew. They go through each verse deeply connecting and explaining it. They go over things like being forgiving, merciful, poor in spirit, humble, persecuted for Christ, etc. They encourage continued prayer and sharing of these podcast!
Episode 16: Holiness & Obedience - Isaiah Goss
In this episode Walker, Denver, Marleigh, and Bree are excited to welcome their special guest: Isaiah Goss. They start off by speaking about their weeks and how the last episode of the podcast started to work on them. Isaiah joins in as a special guest and really hits the hammer on Holiness and obedience. He speaks about what Holiness is and what it means to be Holy and how to pursue Holiness. He also explains not only Holiness, but also how to be obedient and how to gain Holiness through obedience. Scripture is used, personal conviction is given, examples and real life talk is shown through Isaiah and through the Holy Spirit and through the conviction. Pursue Jesus, pursue Holiness, pursue obedience.
Episode 15: Anger
In this episode Walker, Denver, Marleigh, and Bree go over the topic of anger. After a 2 week break with a busy summer so far the group talks about trips and things happening. They explain special guest coming next episode and in future episode, as well as, topics that are upcoming and what future podcast are going to consist of. They start the topic on speaking about the challenges of anger, how it is a hard human emotion to overcome. They explain the key things you need to be able to live a Godly life through this emotion: knowing your limits and knowing what to do when you walk away to calm yourself down. Patience and self control are two things that they emphasize a lot as well. They go through some verses that explain anger and teach us how to handle the human emotion that we all face. They explain that human anger, almost always, can only bring harm. They speak about many different verses that explain this one statement itself. They end by giving applications to anger and reinstating the idea of knowing the two things to do to help with the self control and patience part of it, as were called to do.
Episode 14: Prayer
In this episode Walker, Denver, and Marleigh take on the topic of prayer. They have a special guest co-host with them: Eli Sharp. They start by explaining the definition of prayer, giving their own insight and real life examples. They go over all the aspects of prayer: what it is defined as, what it looks like in real life, secret places to pray, what to do when you don't feel like it, or when its hard to pray why should you continue? They speak on examples of prayer in the Bible through Moses, David, and Abraham. They emphasize that prayer is a dialogue, not a monologue. They urge listeners to be ok sitting in God's presence, and hearing Him speak, not just using Him as a therapist and not letting him speak back to you. They speak about going through seasons and how it won't always be good times and also will not always be bad times, they use examples from Ecclesiastes 3 and Psalms 13, 18. They end with speaking on the action of not being afraid to ask others to pray for you and, as well as, not being afraid to ask others if they themselves need prayer.
