Who are you Fasting for?

It's easy to know who you're praying to... As is giving alms is easy to know who you're giving to... But who are you fasting for? Is it for yourself? For Jesus? Or are you extending that further and giving your suffering true purpose? Let's talk about it!

They're STILL Trying to Cancel Jesus

Unlike cancel culture which cannot be satisfied, Jesus' sacrifice on the cross satisfied all offense of sin. Why are some people so convinced unforgiveness is the best way forward? How can harmony be found when they want everyone singing the melody? I, for one, am grateful for the Lord's work in my life, and that is something I refuse to denounce. Born-Again Believer, Catholic Style ;)

What constitutes "born again," and why is the term more universally used in Protestant circles? What if you're a fallen away Catholic? What would it take to return Home? It may be simpler than you think... For more content and conversation, visit www.alimariehere.com

Kanye West's song 'Carnival' is DISGUSTING

I may be so upset about this since before I was Catholic I WAS the girl defining myself by how good the head was I gave to whoever would "let me." Knowing now how absolutely lost I was... It breaks my heart that there are young women and girls out there that think this is where they identity and/or worth would be. It's such a lie, and it causes such deep wounds- to ourselves, the men perpetuating it, and to our societal stability as a whole. Women- your worth isn't found in how sexually satisfying you are. And men- you're a fool to think that's all a woman would be good for.

Stop being so Angry!

Apparently all women are supposed to stay in a constant state of rage which I think is the worst advice possible. Accept the world without becoming complacent, and use logic in your arguments instead of allowing emotion to dictate your words. You know who can help? Jesus ;) Tune in to hear a little bit more about Him! Join the conversations: www.alimariehere.com

Which thief are you in line behind?

It was fitting that Jesus was crucified between two thieves... But why? The implications are endless.
