"Don't do as I do, think as I think."

In a recent conversation, I had someone starting their own business ask me what I wish I knew when I started, or what I would have done differently. I greatly appreciated the ask, one- for the ability to share knowledge with someone seeking it, and second-the correct framework for real growth isn’t found in just what we do. My philosophy and methodology is this: If you want to make progress, do what other successful people do. If you want to reach a pinnacle, think like successful people think WHILE they’re doing.

A quick pathway to Alignment

The acronym A.L.I.G.N represents a pathway in which I can help others identify their core strengths and values, create a greater level of competency through personal development, and catapult results through resources and nexus. Over the last year this duplicatable practice has helped numerous coaching clients find their purpose, passion, or next best step in their personal and professional realms.

Indecision IS a decision

Today’s topic is about indecision and how that greatly affects one’s ability to build confidence, make progress, and the costs associated with it. Overall, while it's natural to experience moments of indecision, chronic indecisiveness can have detrimental effects on various aspects of a person's life.

Golden Nuggets

In the spirit of March, and St. Patty’s Day right around the corner, I thought I would share some “Golden Nuggets” of wisdom that have impacted my life over the years. So often in our day-to-day lives we are imparted with knowledge and wisdom from those around us, whether it be our parents growing up, teachers, coaches, friends, mentors, etc... that it falls on deaf ears or we dismiss the value until we are in a situation where we are reminded of what we have heard repeatedly. Today I’m going to share a few of my own, that maybe have impacted or influenced you as well. Feel free to share some of your thoughts or golden nuggets on my social media pages that others might learn from as well.

Be Persistent AND Consistent

Consistency is often hailed as the cornerstone of success in various aspects of life, whether it be personal development, professional growth, or achieving our goals. It's the steady and persistent effort we put in, day in and day out, that ultimately leads to significant progress and accomplishment. Today, we'll delve into the importance of consistency, its impact on our lives, and practical strategies to cultivate it.

Secrets of the Successful

I’m going to share with you the “10 Ancient Scrolls for Success” as presented in the book, "The Greatest Salesman in the World," by Og Mandino. I would encourage you to take some sort of action with them and apply it to your life. Years ago, I printed them out and posted them where I could see the 10 principles daily. Sometimes I would read them silently or out loud to set the intentions for my day. Although I haven’t done that for quite some time, they popped into my head most recently and I was reminded of a good habit that worked. Another tip for success… Don’t stop doing the things that work! If you do let a good habit slide, it’s almost like muscle memory, you can start it back up again and it will feel like a familiar routine.

Are you a Victor or a Victim?

Do you look to others who are where you want to be as source of inspiration? or Do you believe others have it better, easier, and more available to them? Do you accept challenges as opportunities for growth? or Do you let excuses determine why something won't work out? Do you believe you are capable of making incremental, consistent efforts? or Do you look at the big picture and feel small and incapable? What you choose determines victory over your life or becoming a victim to your circumstances.

What will you choose in 2024?

Every New Year I set my intentions with a word that I want to be my focus and theme. This may or may not be a new concept for you, but if you haven’t decided on a word for this year yet, I would encourage you to give it some thought. In the past, I have selected words such as: Grace, Intentional, Gratitude, Bold, Simplify, Presence, Ignite, and most recently, my word last year was Align.

Are you adapting or influencing?

I recently saw a quote on social media that said, “don’t adapt to the energy in the room, influence the energy in the room.” It reminded me of a few important lessons in connecting and relationship building that were worthy of sharing on this podcast.

How do you define success?

Take some time today and map out what success looks like for you. What do you want to do while you’re here? What do you want to be remembered for? Who else will benefit from your decision to be successful?
