Chronological Reading of the Bible - Day 222 - August 10, 2026
This is part of a year long reading of the Bible chronologically in a harmonized format. 1 Kings 5:1 - 6:38 - Solomon makes an alliance with Hiram of Tyre for cedar and skilled workers, organizing labor to prepare materials for the temple. - Construction of the temple begins in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign; detailed descriptions are given of its structure, rooms, and furnishings, completed in seven years. Acts 18:19 - 19:10 - Paul briefly visits Ephesus, leaves Priscilla and Aquila there, and later returns after traveling through the region; Apollos is instructed more accurately in the way of God. - In Ephesus Paul baptizes disciples who knew only John’s baptism, preaches boldly for two years, and the word of the Lord spreads widely throughout Asia.
