**DECEMBER 22**

DECEMBER 22 - Nahum 1:1–3:19: God decrees Nineveh’s total destruction for its evil; Judah will find relief and peace. - Slow to anger yet unstoppable, the Lord shatters Assyria’s power; no fortress can stand. - Psalm 145:17–21: The Lord is righteous and near to all who truly call; He saves lovers of God, destroys the wicked. - Saints praise Him forever; He hears and fulfills the desires of those who fear Him. - Proverbs 30:16: Four insatiable things: the grave, barren womb, thirsty earth, and fire. - Revelation 12:1–17: Woman births Messiah; dragon (Satan) fails to devour Him; child ascends to God. - Michael casts dragon to earth; enraged Satan pursues the woman and her offspring who keep Jesus’ testimony.

**DECEMBER 23**

DECEMBER 23 - Habakkuk 1:1–3:19: Habakkuk questions God’s use of wicked Babylon to judge Judah; God replies that Babylon will also fall. - In awe, Habakkuk rejoices in God’s sovereignty and strength, trusting Him even if all else fails. - Psalm 146:1–10: Praise the Lord lifelong; trust God, not princes—He upholds the oppressed, feeds the hungry, frees prisoners, and reigns forever. - Proverbs 30:17: The eye that mocks a father and despises an aged mother will be pecked out by ravens and eaten by vultures. - Revelation 13:1–18: Beast from sea (antichrist empire) receives dragon’s power, is worshiped after healing; beast from earth enforces mark (666) and image worship. - No one can buy or sell without the beast’s mark or number; God’s people must endure with wisdom.

**DECEMBER 24**

DECEMBER 24 Zephaniah 1:1–3:20 - Day of the Lord brings total judgment on Judah and nations for idolatry and pride. - Yet God will restore a humble remnant, remove disaster, and rejoice over purified Israel. Psalm 147:1–6 - Praise is fitting; God builds Jerusalem and gathers outcasts. - He heals brokenhearted, knows every star, lifts humble, casts down wicked. Proverbs 30:18–19 - Three things too wonderful: eagle in sky, snake on rock, ship at sea. - Fourth mystery: way of man with maiden (path leaves no trace). Revelation 14:1–20 - Lamb with 144,000 redeemed; three angels proclaim gospel, Babylon’s fall, warning against beast. - Harvest of earth: righteous gathered, wicked crushed in winepress of God’s wrath.

**DECEMBER 25**

DECEMBER 25 - Haggai 1:1–2:23: God rebukes Judah for neglecting His temple while paneling their own houses; obey and rebuild, then blessing comes. - The Lord stirs Zerubbabel and Joshua; He will shake nations and make Zerubbabel His signet ring of restored favor. - Psalm 147:7–11: Sing thanks to God who builds Jerusalem, gathers exiles, heals brokenhearted; He delights not in strength but in those who fear and hope in His steadfast love. - Proverbs 30:20: An adulterous woman eats, wipes her mouth, and says, “I have done no wrong.” - Revelation 15:1–8: Seven angels with seven final plagues appear; victorious saints sing the song of Moses and the Lamb by a sea of glass. - Temple in heaven opens; angels receive bowls of wrath—no one may enter until the plagues are finished.

**DECEMBER 26**

DECEMBER 26 - Zechariah 1:1–3:10: Return to God and He returns to you; visions of horses, horns, Joshua cleansed, and the Branch who removes sin in one day. - The Lord will rebuild Jerusalem, choose His people again, and silence accusations against the high priest. - Psalm 147:12–20: Praise God who strengthens Jerusalem, blesses her children, grants peace, and feeds with finest wheat; His word runs swiftly—snow, frost, then melt. - He reveals His statutes to Israel alone; no other nation knows His laws. - Proverbs 30:21–23: Four things that make the earth tremble: a slave who becomes king, a fool full of food, an unloved woman who marries, and a maid who displaces her mistress. - Revelation 16:1–21: Seven bowls of wrath poured out—festering sores, seas and rivers to blood, scorching sun, darkness, Euphrates dried, and final earthquake/Armageddon. - Defiant humanity curses God; “It is done”—yet they still refuse to repent.

**DECEMBER 27**

DECEMBER 27 - Zechariah 4:1–6:15: “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit”; golden lampstand and two olive trees supply Zerubbabel to finish the temple. - Flying scroll curses thieves and liars; woman in basket (wickedness) carried to Babylon; four chariots patrol earth; Branch crowned as priest-king. - Psalm 148:1–6: All heaven—angels, sun, moon, stars—praise the Lord who created and fixed them forever by decree. - Proverbs 30:24–28: Four small but wise creatures: ants prepare food, rock badgers build safe homes, locusts march in rank, lizards live in kings’ palaces. - Revelation 17:1–18: Great prostitute (Babylon) rides the scarlet beast with seven heads/ten horns; drunk with saints’ blood, she rules kings. - Angel explains: beast is the final empire; ten horns turn on the prostitute, burn her—God’s judgment fulfilled.

DECEMBER 28

Zechariah 7:1–9:17 - God critiques insincere fasting, urging justice, mercy, and kindness; recalls past disobedience causing exile. - Promises Jerusalem's restoration, peace, and joy; foretells victory over enemies and a humble king's arrival. Psalm 148:7–14 - Urges earth's elements, creatures, and people to praise God's exalted name and splendor. - Notes God's strength for Israel, His faithful people, and ends with praise. Proverbs 30:29–31 - Lists three majestic in stride: lion, rooster, and he-goat. - Adds a secure king, emphasizing confident bearing. Revelation 18:1–24 - Angel declares Babylon's fall as demonic haunt; kings, merchants mourn lost luxuries and trade. - Heaven calls people to flee plagues, rejoices in judgment for deception and bloodshed.

DECEMBER 29

Zechariah 10:1–12:14 - God promises rain, idols' futility, and restoration of Judah/Israel from exile, strengthening them like warriors to overcome enemies and rejoice in His salvation. - Enacts shepherd symbolism for rejection and woe on worthless leaders; foretells Jerusalem's siege, divine defense, mourning for the pierced one like a firstborn son. Psalm 149:1–4 - Calls Israel to praise God in new song, assembly, with dancing and music for His creation and victory. - Declares the Lord takes pleasure in His people, crowns the humble with salvation, and beautifies the faithful. Proverbs 30:32–33 - Warns against self-exaltation or foolish plotting: clap hand over mouth to stop. - Notes churning milk produces butter, wringing nose draws blood, and stirring anger leads to strife. Revelation 19:1–21 - Heaven rejoices with hallelujahs over Babylon's judgment, announces the Lamb's marriage supper, and praises God's true judgments. - Rider on white horse (Word of God) leads heavenly armies to strike nations, rule with iron rod, and cast beast/false prophet into lake of fire.

DECEMBER 30

Zechariah 13:1–14:21 - Promises cleansing fountain for sin, end to idols/false prophets, striking of shepherd scattering sheep, refining remnant through fire. - Foretells Jerusalem's siege, Lord's intervention with earthquake and plagues, eternal light, living waters, and all nations worshiping in holy city. Psalm 149:5–9 - Urges saints to rejoice in beds, praise God with mouth and two-edged sword. - Calls for executing vengeance on nations, binding kings, fulfilling written judgment as honor for faithful. Proverbs 31:1–9 - King Lemuel's mother's oracle warns against women/wine that impair judgment and forget laws. - Advises giving strong drink to perishing, speaking for destitute, defending afflicted and needy. Revelation 20:1–15 - Angel binds Satan in abyss for 1,000 years; martyrs reign with Christ, first resurrection blessed. - Satan released, deceives nations for battle, defeated by fire; great white throne judges dead by books, second death in lake of fire.

DECEMBER 31

Malachi 1:1–4:6 - Declares God's love for Jacob over Esau; rebukes priests for dishonoring offerings, leading to curses and calls for reverence. - Condemns unfaithfulness in marriage and justice; promises messenger, refining judgment, blessings for tithing, and fiery day separating righteous from wicked. Psalm 150:1–6 - Urges praise to God in His sanctuary and heavens for mighty acts and greatness, using trumpet, harp, lyre, tambourine, strings, pipes, and cymbals. - Calls everything with breath to praise the Lord, ending with a resounding hallelujah. Proverbs 31:10–31 - Praises virtuous wife's rarity and trustworthiness: rises early, provides food, buys fields, makes clothing, trades profitably, helps poor. - Highlights her strength, dignity, wisdom, kindness; family blesses her, fearing the Lord surpasses charm and beauty. Revelation 21:1–22:21 - Describes new heaven/earth, holy city Jerusalem descending; God dwells with people, wiping tears, ending death/sorrow; throne's river/tree heal nations, no night/curse. - Warns against adding/subtracting words; invites thirsty to water of life freely; Jesus affirms quick coming, with grace benediction.
