Hosea 5:1 - 8:14

- God calls out the priests, the house of Israel, and the king for their unfaithfulness, and Hosea urges the people to return to the Lord, who will heal and revive them.

- God desires steadfast love rather than sacrifice and the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings, but Israel has sown the wind and will reap the whirlwind.

Romans 15:1 - 15:33

- The strong should bear with the failings of the weak and not please themselves, just as Christ did not please Himself, so welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you.

- Paul shares his calling to preach Christ where He has not been named and his plan to visit Rome on the way to Spain, and he asks the believers to strive with him in prayer.
