Amos 6:1 - 9:15

- Woe to those at ease in Zion. Empty worship, injustice, and pride do not save; the Lord will raise a nation against Israel.

- Judgment does not cancel the promise. The Lord will restore David's fallen tent, return the captives, and plant Israel so they are never uprooted again.

Romans 5:1-21

- Justified by faith, we have peace with God through Christ, and suffering produces hope because God's love is poured into our hearts.

- Through one man came sin and death; through one man, Jesus Christ, grace overflows so that many are made righteous.
