Your Resume Doesn’t Matter — 1 John 2

Pastor Jason McKibben

August 16, 2026

In this teaching, Pastor Jason McKibben explores why our spiritual “resume” doesn’t matter as much as our relationship with Jesus. We can’t earn confidence with God through what we’ve accomplished and we find confidence through knowing Him.

In 1 John 2, John gives us three signs that help us recognize a genuine relationship with Jesus and give us confidence that we belong to Him. It’s not about building the perfect resume; it’s about walking in a real relationship with Christ.
