How do we build sound biblical doctrine?

In Week 6 of our Road to Emmaus series, we discover that context is everything. Before we build a doctrine, we must first ask: Who wrote this book? Who was the audience? Why was it written? God's Word was never intended to be read in isolated verses but understood within the context the Holy Spirit inspired.

In Luke 24, Jesus opens the minds of His disciples to understand the Scriptures. Then in Acts 13, we see the Holy Spirit actively directing the mission of the Church by setting apart Barnabas, Paul, and John Mark to proclaim the Gospel to the nations.
