Ep. 64 | All things Klint Kubiak and the Saints Revamped Offense - "Part 1"

The Saints finally made it "official official" and have hired our MUCH needed new OC in Klint Kubiak, and he's bringing his own cavalry with him. Max and Corey talked last episode about the potential, in a very general sense, of bringing Kubiak on board when it was mostly still rumored that he was the guy (pre-Super Bowl); but in this episode we dive deep into specifics on how Kubiak - and the new offensive staff he's bringing in - can hopefully bring about a significant improvement in the Saints offense. That said, do we think he will actually have full autonomy or will DA still try to hold the reigns as HC and dictate game flow/ball control? What offensive skill guys on the team now seem to fit the scheme that Kubiak and Co. will bring to the Saints this upcoming season? Also, this episode is actually a "Part 1" of this whole discussion, as our recording ended up going a solid hour and a half, much longer than the intended 35-45 minute goal. So, next week (Ep. 65) will bring you "Part 2", in which we get into the impacts on the draft the Kubiak hire brings and the random/tangent 35 minute discussion we have on the defensive outlook for next year as a whole. Ep. 63 | Saints got their guy at OC? Talking Klint Kubiak hire and other Saints news (plus WWE Bonus talk)

Damn it feels good to have some POSITIVE Saints news to talk about. After numerous OC interviews, anxiety about how long things were taking, and doubts/concerns that the process was all a front to bring in Jon Chucky Gruden, it appears that the Saints got their guy as the new Offensive Coordinator in Klint Kubiak. Of course, we agree that we don’t trust anything until we see the news made official, which by rule can’t come until after the Super Bowl. But, with the expectation that he’s in, Max and Corey talk what the hire would mean for the offense next year and what we like about the move. (Nick had to sit this one out due to a trip to “Guam”, as he claims, for the Prestige Worldwide Catalina Wine Mixer Preview Party). We also talk about the significance of the Saints moving on from Doug Marrone, if anything a welcome sign that the team is making room for their guy to bring in his own people. Also, for some BONUS CONTENT, we tackle a very important mailbag question: What’s Max’s take on the announced battle between The Rock and Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania?? Listen in to hear his answer. Ep. 60 | RECAP of F*CKING the Falcons - "Victory" for Jamaal - and we talk Gruden...

The Saints 2023 Season has finally come to a close, so this is "technically" our RECAP episode of the last game of the year, a complete drubbing of the Falcons. Thank god we drug them in the end. BUT, just like the Saints waited til the final play to add some excitement by overriding DA in rogue fashion, we tackle so much more than a simple recap episode on the last play, at the goalline, so to speak. Yes, we get way into "the play" in which the team overrode DA to get Jamaal his TD; but also, in Corey's first episode back in what seems like a month (congrats on the wedding and honeymoon, Corey), Max welcomes Corey back with the simple, yet loaded question of "what about Jon Gruden?" What a lovely topic...Listen in for another epic chapter in the 28-3 Podcast, with the full team back in the fold, in the first of many episodes embarking on an undoubtedly eventful offseason. Ep. 55 | RECAP EP of the DEBACLE of Saints vs Rams

Well, we had everything in front of us heading into LA vs. the Rams, and...our Saints simply failed to get it done. Now? Yes, as expected, we do NOT control our own destiny. Unfortunately, there is next to nothing good to cover from this last shitkicking our team took on account of LA. Rather, we get into just how bad it was, and what this means for the team going forward. It's the holiday season...and we have nothing holiday to show for it, other than the fact that we DON'T have to watch this team play on until after the "holidays" are over.
