Orange County officials are taking a major step forward in expanding mental health resources in the region. A 5-acre site near the UNC Hospitals campus in Hillsborough has been identified for a proposed behavioral health facility that would serve residents of all ages, starting as young as four. In addition to 24-hour urgent care, the center would include a healing garden, courtyard, and a resource hub focused on housing support and harm reduction.
