#129 You Called It Love Until It Said No
Notas del episodio
Most of what we call love is really a contract we never read. We think we're signing up for a relationship, but we're actually signing up for a guaranteed emotional return. The other party just never sees the terms.
The problem is, any relationship built on a guarantee isn't a relationship. It's a transaction, and the other party doesn't know they're in it.
The moment the other party starts having preferences — real ones, inconvenient ones — you have a choice. You can renegotiate, learn the new terms, do the slow work of actually knowing someone. Or you can walk away and find a new party that won't read the contract either.
That choice tells you exactly who you are. Not what you say you believe about love. What you actually built your comfort on.
