Re-vision 2026: As it is in Heaven WEEK THREE

We become what we behold. In Week 3, we explore spiritual formation—the lifelong work of the Holy Spirit shaping our inward lives until our minds, hearts, desires, and actions come into harmony with the life of Jesus. Paul described his desire for believers as “Christ being formed in you” (Galatians 4:19). But how does that formation actually happen? Through worship—not simply singing songs, but through what we continually exalt, focus on, and give our attention to. Formation is the byproduct of what we exalt. From Israel and the golden calf to Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 3:18, Scripture reveals a powerful truth: we become like who or what we worship. Worshiping idols deforms us; worshiping Jesus transforms us into His likeness. So how do we behold Jesus? We gaze upon Him through Scripture, encounter Him through the sacraments, seek Him privately through prayer, fasting, and worship, and allow ourselves to be formed publicly through life with the body of Christ. You can’t be Christlike if you only look at Christ on Sundays. Spiritual formation is an everyday invitation to fix our eyes on Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to form His life in us.

The world is loud—but you don’t have to listen to the noise. In Week 2 of our series, Pastor Lindsey teaches on the biblical practice of fasting and how it helps us turn down the noise of a fallen world so we can hear the voice of God more clearly. Fasting isn’t simply giving something up—it’s intentionally denying the flesh and replacing it with prayer, worship, and seeking God. This message is a call to stay on brand with the heart of Jesus by walking in the Spirit, clothing ourselves with mercy, kindness, forgiveness, humility, and patience, and asking one life-changing question: "Is this how it's done in Lexington... or is this how it's done in Heaven?" Join us as we pray for our teachers and students, recommit ourselves to carrying Heaven into our community, and prepare our hearts for our upcoming New Testament reading plan and 21 Days of Fasting. Father's Day 2026 Chronicles week 3

Chronicles – Week 3 | What's In Your Heart? This week, we explore Solomon's request for wisdom in 2 Chronicles 1 and discover why God was pleased with what was in his heart. Rather than seeking wealth or power, Solomon asked for Chokmah—the God-given wisdom to lead God's people in alignment with God's heart and purposes. In 2 Chronicles 9, the Queen of Sheba witnesses God's blessing on Solomon's life and responds with praise to God. Her response reminds us that our lives are meant to point others to Christ. We are walking billboards, and the way we steward our time, talents, relationships, and families should reflect His goodness. We also challenge every man to be both a warrior and a worshiper. Like Benaiah, who served in battle and in worship, godly men are called to protect their families, cultivate faith in their homes, and lead others toward Jesus through everyday life.
