Notas del episodio
In this episode, Nancy Serrano speaks with Rosa Luz Perez about the women's struggle within the Zapatista movement. Rosa Luz lived and worked in a Zapatista community for many years. Throughout this episode, she shares some of her experience and speaks about the 'revolution within the revolution'. She tells how Zapatista women have challenged community structures, changed gender roles, fought oppressions and of how women have transformed and continue to shape their everyday lives. Passionately, she explains how women played a central role in creating the most important Zapatista laws: the Women's Revolutionary Law and the Agrarian Law and points to the connection of land and women's rights. She speaks about a world where many worlds fit, where people of all identities can thrive, and so much more... Tune in for a valuable lesson on solidarity, community, feminism and empowerment.
