Before the rain ever falls, God announces judgment—but He also provides a way through it. In Genesis 6:17–22, the word covenant appears for the first time in Scripture as God promises to preserve Noah and his family through the coming flood. While the world faces judgment, Noah is given an ark, a promise, and a command—and he responds by doing “all that God commanded him.”
In this episode, we look at the Flood as the undoing of creation, the eight people who would be carried safely through the waters, and the New Testament connections found in Hebrews and 1 Peter. The ark becomes more than a massive boat—it is a picture of God providing refuge from judgment and preserving the line of the promised Seed.
The world is about to be washed away, but the promise of Genesis 3:15 is still alive.
Judgment is coming. The covenant has been spoken. And the Red Thread is safely inside the ark.
