In the summer of 2002, a young girl was abducted from her trampoline in the early morning hours. After being assaulted for hours she escaped that afternoon after her abductor left for work immediately leading investigators back to his home.

When investigators attempted to arrest him, he led them on a 40-mile high-speed chase throughout the city that ended at a dead-end road where he shot and killed a police dog and shot and wounded an officer before turning the gun on himself.
