Ocarina of Time Remake | Did Nintendo Play It Too Safe?

Nintendo is celebrating 40 years of The Legend of Zelda in a BIG way, and Rick and Greg have a lot to talk about. We break down our first reactions to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, from the completely rebuilt visuals and modernized gameplay to voice acting, nostalgia, and Nintendo’s decision to stay faithful to one of the most iconic games of all time. Is a near 1:1 remake exactly what Ocarina of Time needs, or should Nintendo have taken more risks and expanded Hyrule with new areas, quests, and surprises? Rick also reveals just how much Zelda 40th Anniversary gear he already pre-ordered, leading into a bigger conversation about collecting, preorder bonuses, scalpers, and whether consumers share some responsibility for missing highly sought-after releases. We also react to Metroid Ravenous, discuss the future of 2D Metroid and the possibility of finally remaking Super Metroid and A Link to the Past. And somehow that leads us to Super Mario 64. If Nintendo is willing to revisit Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time again, could Mario 64 be next? Greg has some VERY different feelings about Nintendo touching that particular classic—which creates a pretty hilarious contradiction with everything he just said about Ocarina of Time. Zelda, Metroid, Mario, nostalgia, remakes, scalpers, and way too many pre-orders—Nintendo has our attention and apparently Rick’s wallet.

USH Halloween Horror Nights 2026 | Every House Ranked + Is Unlimited Express Worth It?

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 is here, and this year I experienced Universal Studios Hollywood in a completely different way—with Unlimited Express. In this episode, I break down and rank all eight haunted houses from least favorite to best, including Stranger Things, Sinners, Evil Dead Burn, KILLceañera, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, Hellraiser and more. I also share the story behind the best scare of the night, why some houses are significantly better after dark, and which house ultimately took my #1 spot. Beyond the houses, I cover FORTNITEMARES and the other scare zones, the Terrifier-themed Terror Tram, Death Eaters in Hogsmeade, food and merchandise, Early Access, and my first experience using Unlimited Express—including whether I think it's actually worth the extra money. And somehow, Horror Nights also turned into my first ride on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift during technical rehearsals. Was this the best HHN house lineup I've experienced? Maybe not. But thanks to Unlimited Express, it may have been my best overall Horror Nights experience yet.

I Built My First Fence... And I Think I Found a New Hobby

What started as a much-needed backyard repair turned into one of the most rewarding projects I’ve taken on. In this episode of Sigma Duocast, I break down my experience building my first fence from the ground up—from spending weeks researching and learning on YouTube to demolition, digging post holes, setting concrete, framing, building a gate, and figuring things out when everything didn’t go exactly according to plan. I talk about the mistakes I made, the lessons I learned, the tools that got me through it, and the satisfaction of stepping back at the end and being able to say, “I built that.” But more than anything, this project gave me the confidence to take on bigger home improvement projects and may have unlocked an entirely new hobby…which unfortunately means I now have another reason to buy more tools. Sometimes you just have to do the research, make a plan, and start building.

Avengers: Doomsday Trailer | Why Didn't I Feel More Excited?

The first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has finally arrived, and while it looks visually impressive, did it actually live up to the hype? In this solo Sigma Review, I share my honest reaction to Marvel Studios' biggest film since Avengers: Endgame. We break down the trailer, discuss Doctor Doom's intimidating debut, Thor's return to form, the long-awaited arrival of the X-Men, Loki, Shang-Chi, and what Marvel chose to reveal—and more importantly, what they didn't. I also dive into the state of the MCU after Endgame, why I don't believe "Marvel fatigue" is the real issue, how the abandoned Kang storyline affected the Multiverse Saga, and whether Doomsday has what it takes to restore the excitement that defined the Infinity Saga. Rudy's Bachelor Party | My First Trip to Hawai'i

Join me as I recap my unforgettable first trip to Hawaiʻi for Rudy's bachelor party. What started as a celebration for one of my closest friends turned into an incredible six-day adventure across Oʻahu filled with breathtaking scenery, amazing food, unforgettable experiences, and plenty of laughs. From jumping off Waimea Bay's famous rock despite my fear of heights, to getting stung by my first bee, standing in the middle of Kāneʻohe Bay's famous sandbar surrounded by sea turtles, exploring hidden local spots, and experiencing Waikīkī's nightlife, this trip had a little bit of everything. Along the way, I share travel tips, fun facts, memorable stories, and why having a local guide completely changed the experience. More than anything, this episode is about celebrating friendship. It's a reminder that as life gets busier, opportunities to bring close friends together become more meaningful than ever. We traveled to Hawaiʻi to celebrate Rudy before his wedding, but we all came home with memories that will last a lifetime. Mahalo, Oʻahu. I'll definitely be back.

The Odyssey - a sigma review -

As someone familiar with Greek mythology—but who has never read Homer's original work—I discuss how the film makes this timeless story accessible while delivering breathtaking cinematography, outstanding performances, and masterful pacing. I break down the story, the all-star cast, Nolan's commitment to practical filmmaking and IMAX, the performances that stood out most, and why this is a movie that deserves to be experienced on the biggest screen possible. I also talk about how The Odyssey compares to Troy (2004), whether you should watch it beforehand, and why this film has reignited my interest in Greek mythology and even Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
