EP: 15 Michael Hess, Emporia

Michael Hess is Co-Founder and CEO at Emporia. Founded in 2021, Emporia is a premiere B2B audience activation company, enabling organizations to find, qualify, and engage hard‑to‑reach decision‑makers worldwide. Unlike others in the sample and insights space, Emporia unifies programmatic recruitment, automated LinkedIn credentialing, and real‑time activation, allowing clients to launch studies, refine marketing campaigns, and surface actionable intelligence without wrangling multiple vendors. Before Emporia Michael was an Information Systems Consultant at Baker Tilly before starting a small digital content agency for travel brands, mostly boutique hotels, which led to an opportunity within global marketing at Marriott International as a Manager with Global Creative and Content Marketing supporting social content strategy for the company's 33 hotel brands.

14: Andrew Hui, TD Bank

Andrew is the AVP of Enterprise Consumer and Customer Journey Insights at TD Bank. His team of consumer and customer journey insights practitioners lead support the consumer and customer journey insights needs of TD Bank in both Canada and the US. His team is responsible for insights related to Brand, Citizenship, Sponsorship, ESG, Product, Customer Journey, and Diverse Communities. Prior to TD, Andrew was a VP at Ipsos for almost 10 years. At Ipsos, he managed quantitative market research studies for clients in a variety of industries including telecommunications, foodservice, retail, tier-1 CPG, and financial. Before Ipsos, Andrew was at Cara (now Recipes Unlimited) where he managed the overall Guest Satisfaction research program in addition to supporting the Kelsey's, Montana's, and Milestone's brands with consumer insights. Andrew was also an instructor for the Quantitative Marketing Research course at University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies for four years.

Ep 13: Wes Michael, Rare Patient Voice

Wes is the founder and president of Rare Patient Voice. Founded in 2013, Rare Patient Voice is a trusted partner in patient and caregiver research, committed to bringing the opinions and experiences of rare and non-rare patients and family caregivers to the forefront. They help clients find rare and non-rare disease patients and caregivers for studies and connect patients and caregivers with paid research opportunities. Prior to founding RPV, Wes worked for Kantar in the healthcare space, was a brand manager, a market research manager at McCormick and worked in insights at General Mills

Ep 12: Layla Shea, Upwords

Layla is the founder and chief Insight officer at Upwords. Since 2008, Layla, and her team at Upwords have been delivering insights that inspire strategy, innovation, communication, and experiences. What sets them apart is their ability to craft compelling narratives that go beyond data, stories that Spark connection, unlock understanding, and ultimately drive business growth. Prior to founding Upwords, Layla was a director at Sklar, Wilton and Associates, a group marketing manager at the Minute Maid Company Canada and a product manager at SC Johnson.

Ep. 11: Andrej Žukov Gregorič, Unsurvey

Andrej is a co-founder at Unsurvey. Founded in 2024, unSurvey is a platform for running qual interviews using AI that helps researchers speak to an order of magnitude more people than ever before possible. Unlike others in the AI qual-at-scale space, unSurvey can run rich human-like voice-to-voice conversations thanks to unSurvey's conversational flow builder allowing clients to steer conversations in complex ways to capture more nuanced insights.

Ep. 10: Sue Collin, RTi Research

Sue Collin is an experience-rich Marketing Insights Professional. She began her career 30+ years ago in the Quantitative space and has since added a Qualitative emphasis to her repertoire. She heads up RTi Research’s Qual Practice. Sue finds that her deep Quant expertise offers a unique perspective in connecting the dots of non-linear Qual conversations with both B2B and B2C consumers. While she’s busy handling her Qual project design and moderation duties, she’s always thinking ahead to how that information will be used to inform prior or subsequent research efforts and meaningfully answer the broader business objectives.

Ep. 9: Monika Rogers, V.P. Growth Strategy, CMB

Monika Rogers is VP of Growth Strategy for CMB. CMB is a trusted insights and analytics partner for Fortune 500 brands, delivering sophisticated custom research that drives growth and efficiency. An ITA group company CMB is ranked as one of the top 25 insights and analytics companies by the Insights Association. Prior to joining CMB, Monika was co-founder and CEO at Digsite, ran her own boutique research and consulting firm, held a position as director of the AC Nielsen Center for Marketing Analytics and Insight graduate program at the University of Wisconsin Madison, and spent the first six years of her career in consumer Insights at General Mills.

Ep. 8: AJ Keirans, Founder, Good Human Partners

AJ is the Founder of Good Human Partners. Founded in early 2023, Good Human Partners is the culmination of over two decades in the Market Research Industry. Having the first hand experience across roles and departments, GHP has built its business on service and find the right solution.
