Today’s reading takes us to Romans 8, where Paul shows us what it means to be held by God from beginning to end. The chapter begins with no condemnation and ends with no separation, and everything in between reveals the work of the Spirit in the life of the believer. We have life through the Spirit, access to the Father, hope in suffering, help in weakness, confidence in God’s purpose, and security in His love.
Romans 8 reminds us that even when we do not know what to pray, the Spirit helps us. And when life hurts, God is still working—not merely to make things easier, but to conform us into the image of His Son. Jesus intercedes, the Spirit helps, and the Father receives us as His children. So today, read Romans 8 and rest in this: when you have no words, you are still being held.
