Today’s reading brings us back to Ephesians 1:15–23, where Paul prays that believers would know what God has already given them. Their faith and love move him to prayer, and his request is not simply that their circumstances improve, but that they would know God more deeply and see the hope, riches, and inheritance already secured for them in Christ.
Ephesians 1 reminds us of the prayer, the power, the proof, and the purpose. God has directed immeasurable power toward His people—the same power displayed when Christ was raised from the dead and seated above every rule and authority. And this reigning King has been given to His church: He is the Head, and we are His body. So today, read Ephesians 1:15–23 and pray for opened eyes: Lord, let me know You, recognize what You have given me, and live as a member of the body under the authority of Christ my Head.
