Canucks vs Flames | Postgame | Rusty 'n Dusty | Saddle-DOOM!

Conor Cahill joins the show live from the Saddledome to chat with Dustin Boydell and Russell Holiday following the Vancouver Canucks' 3–1 preseason loss to the Calgary Flames. Conor gives his firsthand impressions of watching the last season at the Saddledome and breaking down a tough matchup where an under-strength Canucks prospect group went up against seasoned NHL veterans. The boys start off by discussing whether it was fair to throw the young guys into the deep end without veteran insulation, chat about Jimmy Schulte and Victor Mancini doing the heavy lifting on defense, and look at Kevin Lankinen holding the fort in net despite the shot barrage. As well, they get into Arshdeep Baines and Braeden Cootes hooking up for another goal, the continued progression of Adam Novotný, and Conor’s experience soaking in the nostalgic Calgary barn.

Then Rusty 'n Dusty get into the postgame fallout and debate which prospects are destined for Abbotsford ahead of upcoming roster cuts. They discuss Aatu Räty's defensive bounce-back and dominance in the face-off dot, Sofonov throwing his weight around with six hits, and whether Cootes and Novotný will stick around for one more look on Thursday. Lastly, the boys look ahead to the upcoming home tilt against Mike Babcock and the Edmonton Oilers, discuss whether Edmonton's off-ice chaos opens a door for the boys in blue and green in the Pacific Division, and debate potential opening-night line combinations.

If you are sick of Luke Gazdic's poor analysis during the intermission, if you are looking for someone to banter with during the game and if you want to meet a bunch of crazy hockey fans then this stream is the one for you. There will be mayhem in chat so make sure you say hello when you stop by.
