Most of us have been living inside the transactional deal — we obey, God rescues. The three young men had a deeper faith. Faith that held even if God did not rescue.
In this letter
- The transactional faith framework and why it breaks
- The confidence sentence versus the but if not sentence
- Why both are needed together
- God in the fire, not just before it
- The fourth man as the answer to the but if not
Scripture — Daniel 3:17-18
The question to sit with
Where in your faith is there a but if not? And where have you been looking for rescue from the fire while missing God in it?
