Inspired by the discussions surrounding the nearness of Christ's return and the approaching completion of the six-thousand-year period of sin's history, I wrote this song.

I believe that Christ's coming is near and that the long-awaited millennium is drawing close. While we do not know the exact day or hour of His return, Scripture teaches that we should recognize when it is near.

I appreciate Pastor Andrew Henriques's use of biblical typologies—particularly those of Lazarus' four days in the grave and the Good Samaritan's two pence—in pointing us to the nearness of the time. Whether one agrees with these interpretations or not, they remind us of an important truth: Jesus is coming again.
