How I Met Your Mother S01E10 — The Pineapple Incident

Ted’s overthinking becomes the night’s main target when Barney pushes him into taking five shots at MacLaren’s while Robin is out on a date. Ted wakes up with Trudy in his bed, a sprained ankle, a burned jacket, repeated drunk calls to Robin, and a pineapple no one can explain.

The mystery-night reconstruction turns a blackout comedy into a clear look at Ted’s denial about Robin. Barney’s reckless advice briefly gets Ted out of his head, but the aftermath shows that acting impulsively does not erase what he wants or make him honest about it.
