Directora de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Coquimbo y la Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil Metropolitana FOJI. Formada en la Universidad de Chile con Magíster en Interpretación Musical con mención en Dirección Orquestal de la Facultad de Artes. Actualmente es Directora Titular de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Coquimbo y la Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil Metropolitana FOJI. Desde el 2019 forma parte del directorio de la Fundación Orquestas de Mujeres de Chile, organización sin fines de lucro que trabaja con mujeres intérpretes, compositoras, directoras, sonidistas y realizadoras audiovisuales en el área de la música docta. We speak with Ninoska Medel, Chilean, orchestra conductor, and founder of the Women's Orchestras Foundation of Chile. She is the Music Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Coquimbo and the Metropolitan Children's Symphony Orchestra (FOJI). She graduated from the University of Chile with a Master's degree in Musical Interpretation with a specialization in Orchestral Conducting from the Faculty of Arts. Currently, she serves as the Principal Conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Coquimbo and the Metropolitan Children's Symphony Orchestra FOJI. Since 2019, she has been part of the board of the Women's Orchestras Foundation of Chile, a non-profit organization that works with female performers, composers, conductors, sound engineers, and audiovisual creators in the field of classical music.

During her tenure, she was instrumental in leveraging powerful artistic works as a catalyst for conversation, reflection, and action. A multi-award winning champion of diversity and inclusion, she serves as a faculty member at The Juilliard School and New York University. She is a professional actor who graduated from the National Superior School of Dramatic Art of Peru, general producer of the play "Al Otro Lado de la Cerca" by August Wilson, actor in and executive producer of the play "Ropa Íntima" by Lynn Nottage.
