Children need to grieve in their age appropriate way.
Allow them to express what they need to, by way of communicating, not too much information, TAKE THEIR lead and let them cry, rest, be with you as they need.
Don't ignore their questions; if you can't answer in the moment, let them know you WILL GET BACK TO THEM. AND DO IT.
They need answers too.
Pray for Gods wisdom, to say just enough without frightening them or overloading t hem with too much information.
If you happen to react, apologize and let them know you didn't mean to hurt their feelings, but are struggling a bit.
