FAITH WALKERS REAL TALK with guest NIKKI D BROWN
Notas del episodio
Nikki "D" & the Sisters of Thunder is a multi-generational family-based ensemble that's rooted in the rich tradition of Gospel, Sacred Steel and modern Blues grooves. They orginate out of Ohio and stand as one of the most electrifying and soul-stirring ensembles in contemporary sacred music.
At the center of the band is Nikki "D", whose searing lead guitar work, commanding vocals, and magnetic stage presence have earned her respect in both gospel and blues circles. With a style often compared to the fire of Sister Rosetta Tharpe and the spiritual depth of the sacred steel legends, Calvin Cooke, Nikki brings an intensity and authenticity that define the group's unmistakable sound. Surrounding her are the "Sisters of Thunder," a family of gifted musicians and vocalists whose harmonies, rhythms, and unwavering faith create the foundation for the band's dynamic power.
Their music has allowed them to open for artist like Jack White Racontuers, Grammy Ceelo Green and travel internationally to perform on the same stage as Sarah Melachlan, Bobby Rush & Rickie Lee Jones. Their mission is to Impact Lives, Inspire Hope and Ignite Joy. You can expect a forecast of hand clapping and your feet tapping.
