Something LGBT Just Happened To Me: What's It Like To Be A Queer Teacher in Higher Education?
Corrupting The Youth: Teaching of Psychology por Jacob Miranda and Cassie Whitt
Notas del episodio
Hey there, corrupters! (Is that, like, a cool name to call our listeners or is it cringe?? Please let me know.)
In this episode, Jacob and I discuss being queer and what it means for us as teachers and academics working in higher education. As some of you probably know, being LGBTQIA+ isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, and we talk about methods of cultivating safer, happier spaces for queer students. We also spend some time talking about the need for substantive, intersectional advocacy, and barriers we often face.
Whether you’re queer, an ally, or someone who is figuring things out, we hope this episode gives you some stuff to think about and reflect on.
See you in the next one!
-Cassie
