Great Inventions for Keeping Cool

Explícito
I want to start by saying this episode which is being published in mid-October, was recorded at the beginning of July. We really didn't have anything to talk about other than how hot it was, but you'll love all of our great inventions for keeping cool in those hot months!

Everyone LOVES Watching Me Grill!

Explícito
This podcast episode of a boy turned man when he got a new grill, a feeling I think we can all relate to. Plus lots of Gordon Ramsey goofs, and an intense examination of the bureaucracy surrounding a rat-run restaurant (Ratstaurant?) in the classic film "Ratatouille." And you know, a couple of puns, just as the contract dictates.

The Pizard Appears

Explícito
Maybe this episode is a bit past its prime. Sure, we thought we'd release this episode when The Backrooms was still a bit more in the cultural zeitgeist. Still, we had fun, we told some jokes, and we revealed the truth of the origins of our mission to post some puns on the internet every week (and really if that's all it is, there are way easier ways to get that done than a weekly podcast. Sheesh, these dudes are dense). Oh also, there's a great run of trash talking AI, with plenty of "hilarious" sound effects!

Dr. Rage, M.D.

Explícito
A lot of characters in this one, y'all. A LOT of characters. Well like 3 or 4, but some very exciting new IP added to the Chekhov's Pun cannon. We think these characters could have very toyetic potential, and we could triple, or even quadruple revenue by Q4! But hey, this isn't a shareholder's meeting, it's a podcast, with several great new guys like Captain Damerica, a sentient bowl of soup, and the overloud and ever growing Dr. Rage, M.D. And of course you're going to hear some great puns! Again! Like always!

Wonka's Saw Traps?

Explícito
Have you ever thought about how much Willy Wonka and Jigsaw have in common? The boys explore this idea and more, with another "You got games on yo phone?" classic. This week, they really dig into the weird tropes of the phone games from the absolute bottom of the barrel that were probably made by bots for other bots to enjoy. There's probably more, I mean it's an hour long podcast right? I guess you'll have to listen, because that's all I've outlined in my notes here!

WOAH-Possum

Explícito
Get ready to embark on a tale of what was meant to be a run of the mill bathroom renovation turned woodland creature rescue! Sometimes the next clue is right under your nose, but sometimes it's hiding under a Kroger bag in the wall next to your bathtub. But hey, that's life, amiright? Plus, with March Madness in the far, FAR rearview, get ready for a new bracket to get excited about! If you know Pat's favorite actor, then you know the back have of this ep will be extremely thorough, and dare I say passionate. You Got Games On Yo Phone?

Explícito
Get ready to hear the firsthand account from a local news photo journalist who interviewed an illusionist turned mentalist! We will also be revisiting a sure to be hit segment (unless you hate it) "Reality Check," but also introducing a brand new segment: You Got Games On Yo Phone? We discuss the terrible yet somehow addicting games that feed you ads like a hog until the game isn't fun enough to justify watching the ads. Pretty cool, right? We hope you enjoy this episode, and as they say, when you're at the urinal... well you should just listen to the episode really! ----- Email us your pun and we may read it on the show!: chekhovspunpod@gmail.com Cover artwork created by Dania Tolmie Intro Music by Brent Smith

The Hasbro Games Cabal?

Explícito
Get your team building exercises ready, because we have a big case to crack today! We’re going to explore the case of how the heck these dang toys in Toy Story came to life, or perhaps are something different entirely from our idea of toys. Plus the debut of Pat’s HOT new segment: Reality CHECK, where he outlines what reality show he’s been watching. The twist is he has to maintain the attention of his co-host, Brent, who is so severely uninterested in any of this stuff. To make sure the show keeps having jokes, Brent may have to derail Pat a time or two. Thanks for tuning in to our DEBUT EPISODE, next week for more great puns! (Probably) Disclaimer: nothing we say are claims of fact and are purely satire (please don’t sue us hasbro)
