Refusing to ask for help isn't humility or strength; it is quiet pride that keeps you isolated.

Pride hides as self-sufficiency. It masks itself as being "responsible," self-reliant, or "not wanting to be a burden."

Pride is often shame in disguise. Beneath the project of independence usually lies a deep fear of being seen as inadequate.

True humility courageously asks for help. Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but being secure enough to admit you need others.
