Renowned for her prominent role in Brisbane's punk scene, Jane is not only a beloved friend but also a highly intelligent individual, bringing a unique perspective to Cancer Culture. Jane first confronted Melanoma in 2013, successfully overcoming the initial battle. However, three years ago, she experienced a relapse, plunging her into a new chapter of her life where she has been courageously fighting stage 4 melanoma ever since.
While cancer has brought its whirlwind of challenges, Jane remains humble, recognising that her journey shares similarities with others. Supported by her partner Ed, friend Bonny and loving family, she draws strength from their unwavering presence. Jane's experience has taught her the importance of gratitude for every aspect of life and health, driving her relentless efforts to slow cancer's progression and extend her life. She fearlessly embraces various treatments, including participation in a clinical trial.
