Job is honest about the distance between what he understands and what God understands. Jesus, meanwhile, meets people who say they want to follow, but each one has a reason to put something else first. I know that pattern. I can turn a real responsibility into an excuse when obedience gets inconvenient. There are questions I won’t solve, losses I won’t explain, and times when the right next step still feels costly. The answer isn’t pretending those things are easy. It’s deciding what I’m actually going to follow when I don’t have the whole map. I can ask God hard questions and still take the next faithful step. Understanding everything was never the price of obedience.
