From the Vault - Trapped in a Dating Simulator Review

In this episode from the vault of patreon, we get into one of the newer animes of the season: Trapped in a Dating Sim. We review the show, discussing highlights, characters that we love or despise, hand out awards, and discuss why Leon is one of the best MCs. It was another great time recording this episode. In part two of our Andor pod, we get into what made this show standout from the other Star Wars products, and ask if the franchise should continue with the tonal shift. We also discuss our preferred use of nostalgia, along with hopes for current confirmed projects. Finally, we wrap our discussion with executive The Fallen Shinigami making the call to the others in order to see their vision on how they would build out the Star War’s universe. Let’s just say, it includes a lot of the Old Republic.

A Blerd Thanksgiving

Alright, Blerd City denizens. We got another great episode in store for you. We wanted to do a Thanksgiving episode, and as such, we recruited our longtime supporter, Me-Ron-JoJo. For the appetizer, we have our emotional What’s Hot (4:25) and introduce our esteemed guest (12:47). Next, we learn about an interesting fan theory from him (20:00). Then we get into the main course of what we are most thankful for in nerdom. (24:11) Of course, we cannot have dinner without dessert, so we had to have a Get it Off your Chest (47:08) and then the wildest AND MOST GLUTTONOUS Make Your Case session on Thanksgiving EVER (51:01). Get your napkins ready. WE ARE FEASTING! But on a serious note, we know the holiday season is tough on a lot of people, so if you are struggling with suicidal tendencies or depression, please reach out. Chadwick Forever

Buckle up, Blerd City denizens because we got a mega episode in store for you. In our Black Panther: Wakanda Forever review, we touch on one of the most real and touching stories in MCU history. We had to recruit help in the Dreaded Double D, Donovan, in order to capture the magnitude of the movie. After introducing our guest (9:00), we touch on themes, what went right, and hand out awards (13:07). After, we go on our deepest dive yet, touching on the cultural impact of Black Panther before discussing the process of grief (1:14:36). Finally, we wrap up on a light-hearted note by touching on Marvel’s plan for Phase 5, and the future of the MCU and Wakanda moving forever (1:43:09). Get your tissues ready.

Blerd City Hulks Out

Blerd City has now undergone a devastating transformation. We enter through the Green Door and do a character analysis of the Immortal/Devil Hulk. After a quick What’s Hot, we dive into a quick overview of the broken psyche of Bruce Banner [10:20]. After that, we quickly do a recap of the Immortal Hulk 2018 comic run [16:18] before going into a Deep Dive into the themes of Immortal Hulk along with the relationship he has with every major character that makes an appearance. [51:56] Once we come back from The Below Place, we form our own theory on how the MCU can handle the Hulk after his…questionable…character arc.[1:12:22] After a quick sponsor break, the Rogue Jedi saves the Fallen Shinigami from cancellation by bringing the artist’s controversy to light [1:19:26], freeing him to do a Come Get Your Rose to end it out. [1:22:40]

Eww….Gamer Nerds

In this episode, Blerd City is graced by the presence of our first guest of the season, Sarah The Ventress. After a quick What’s Hot (4:41) and learning about our guest (10:07), we have a funeral procession for the Fallen King in Black. Then, we get into the return of the fan theory which The Fallen Shinigami is still banned from! (14:31). From there, we dive headlong into the topic of gaming!! A great discussion is had and many controversial topics is uncovered! (17:42). Finally, after a whole sponsor break, the three warriors will have to Make their Case in the gaming sphere. (1:20:59) It's gonna be a WILD RIDE in the city today!!

Level 2: DC Better Listen to us…OR ELSE

Kicking off part 2, we go straight into our deep dive, speculating on the future of the DCEU. We talk perception versus quality of movies, the P.R. crisis within DC, Marvel bias, and finally wrap up by giving a phone call to Meech and hearing his thoughts on how he would run creative. Level 1: Black Adam is HIM - Movie Review

The day of prophecy has arrived. Teth Adam has returned. With the hype surrounding this movie, we even surprised ourselves with a mega episode In part one, we do our movie review of Black Adam, including a breakdown of the biggest moments, The Rock finally playing a different character other than himself, the introduction of the Justice Society, and answering the biggest question of them all: Is the main antagonist merely a child of Ymir? Halloween (Thankfully) Ends: A Slasher Analysis

Blerd City has embraced the darkness inside us all. The Fallen Shinigami and King in Black are celebrating everything slasher related. After the What’s Hot segment [2:45], we give a mini-review of the now divisive Halloween Ends and The King in Black may have gone off the deep end on that one: Spoilers included [7:30]. After finally calming down and putting the kitchen knife away, we make a deep dive head first into the realm of slasher films and break down the history, tropes, and categories of certain Slasher icons [17:51]. And finally, a return of a popular segment, with a murderous twist! [1:16:18] It’s time to grab your masks y’all!.
