Temporada 2
In our first movie review of the new year, the Meech Who Remains and Meech the Conqueror dive into the Quantum Realm to cover the latest Ant-Man movie(17:30). We start the Jonathan Majors simping early by discussing why Kang is HIM and why we can’t get enough. After course correcting, we talk about the biggest moments before handing out awards and rankings. Then, we do a deep dive on the importance of time and the ones we love the most (53:40) and wrap up our MCU talk with predictions on where they go next (53:40). Will the Quantum Realm be able to contain us?
An Absolutely Wild Episode! Starting with two heated rants (9:45), the Blerds finally take a breath to break down some of the greatest “relationships” in anime, then dive into a special valentine’s themed mailbag (1:01:00) that exposes their true natures. All we can say is: It is what it is.
So dear listeners, we have ourselves a fantastic episode! We are here with Jade Aurora, the author of the Motor City Witches series. After our What’s Hot (3:36), we get into our introduction of Jade (8:01). With introductions out of the way, we get into our review/discussion of her book, Motor City Witches! (14:10). After that wild ride, Jade shares an interesting Fan Theory (46:58). At the end, we give our Black History Creator of the Week (52:00)! Let’s continue showing love to our Black creators!!
In this episode, we get extremely out of pocket! With the return of the Autobot Autumn herself and another new citizen of Blerd City, we perform an X-Men Draft!! After a quick What’s Hot (3:30), we introduce our fourth guest, Dajun Cajun, to the good people (9:01). Then after our Sponsor Break (12:43), we go right into the X-Men draft (13:38) where rules are discussed, teams are assembled (19:10), and hilarious discussions are made (26:14). Finally, we end things off with a new segment since Black History Month is here by highlighting Black Creators (39:31)! To me, my X-Men!!
Calling out to all mutants. Class is now in session as we get into our breakdown of all things X-Men. After an epic Get it Off Your Chest segment (10:20), the blerds discuss the X-Men and topics such as their watchability, important themes, and defining the key difference between a mutant and mutate (22:30). In talking about the teams, we kickstart with the OG X-Men and their allies (33:40) before turning to the side of evil and talk about the ops (1:09:30) to not just mutants, but to all humankind. It’s a great time to embrace your inner mutant.
That is right y’all! This week is something special! After our What’s Hot [4:10], we delve into a character study of The Prince of Saiyans himself…Vegeta the IV!! We look into his lengthy Dragon Ball Z History [14:45], discussing his character development. After a Sponsor Break [1:01:33], we then go into the Dragon Ball Super Anime Continuity, discussing his further growth as a character. [1:02:30] Finally, we end our discussion by looking into why he’s one of the most popular characters in Dragon Ball and perhaps in anime period. You all better get ready! It’s gonna be a Prideful ride!!
And kicking off Part 2 to the Anime Showdown, The Afropuff Samurai gives her theory of what went down in the Anime World in 2022. [0:31] Then we take a good look into the big hitters of 2023 [3:33] as well as what we are personally looking forward to! [23:49] We end this outta pocket episode with a Gabfreak fan theory on what may go down in 2023. [32:20] We hope to still have an audience afterwards
And for the first official episode of 2023, we have potentially the most out of pocket combination of guests yet! After the What’s Hot Segment [6:49], along with the returning Afro Puff Samurai, we introduce the problematic Gabfreak[15:11]. We then get into the Anime Recap of 2022 starting with the major players [18:21] before getting into some of the more obscure, but our personal favorites. [1:12:29]. We finally end Part 1 with the awards! [1:22:51]
And here we are…The Grand finale to Part 1 or Season 2! And we decided that since we started the season with horror, it’s only right we end horror. Just like George Lucas stated, “It’s like poetry. It rhymes.” In this VERY outta pocket episode ever, we start with the What’s Hot segment. (5:50) Then we go over the series of Chucky and its most outta pocket plot and characters (11:05). After reviewing that series, The Rogue Jedi has a pretty thought provoking Fan Theory (1:16:31). And for our main portion, we go over the Killer Toy genre in anticipation for the meme-able MEGAN (1:19:26). And The Rogue Jedi revives one of the most beloved segments of the show. (1:31:31). This is how you do a finale…in the most cancellable way possible!!!!
AND WE STAND ON THAT. In one of the most shocking and out of pocket episodes yet, the Rogue Jedi and Fallen Shinigami start out by calling out people that have succumbed to the thirst. After this, they go into a What’s Hot segment surrounded by controversy (6:31) before giving their honest opinions on Avatar (18:51), including the beauty of the movie, the sins of the second son, and what goes into a perfect three hour movie. Finally, after a much needed tonal shift in the show, roses are handed out to two goats that have had an impact on many of our childhoods (1:31:01).
