Temporada 7

Uncanny Treks: Avengers 29-34 (2014, Comic)

The Avengers go infinite — literally. Bob and Matt pick up Hickman's Avengers in the aftermath of Infinity, where the roster has ballooned into a globe-spanning (and space-spanning) machine and the threats have scaled up to match. They dig into the 'bigger is better' era of Earth's Mightiest, debate whether a cast this huge can still feel personal, and track the slow-burn dread building underneath all the cosmic spectacle. Matt's here for the scope; Bob's counting heads. Time Runs Out looms.

Uncanny Treks: New Avengers 13-17 (2013, Comic)

The Illuminati fracture. Bob and Matt close this stretch of Hickman's saga with New Avengers #13-17 (vol. 3), where the incursions escalate and the secret society starts to crack — Namor's choice to destroy a world divides the table, and the moral math gets personal. It's the road to 'Time Runs Out,' and the hosts feel the walls closing in. Matt argues the tragedy was inevitable; Bob just wants to know who the villain of this story really is. The endgame is coming.

Uncanny Treks: Avengers 24-28 (2013, Comic)

After the war, the reckoning. Bob and Matt pick up Avengers #24-28, 'Adapt or Die,' the aftermath of Infinity: the Avengers return to a changed Earth, lick their wounds, and face what's next. The Builders are beaten, Thanos is dealt with, but the incursions are still coming — and the team has to adapt or die trying. It's the breather before the storm, and the hosts use it to take stock of Hickman's run so far. Matt's all-in; Bob's watching the horizon.

Uncanny Treks: Avengers A.I. (2013, Comic)

The robot Avengers. Bob and Matt detour into Avengers A.I. (2013), Sam Humphries' oddball series where Hank Pym assembles a team of artificial intelligences — Victor Mancha, the Vision, a Doombot among them — to stop a machine uprising only machines can fight. It's the weirdest corner of the Marvel NOW! Avengers line, and the hosts are charmed by its ambition even when the execution wobbles. Matt loves a misfit team; Bob just wants to know if the Doombot gets a character arc.

Uncanny Treks: New Avengers 7-12 (2013, Comic)

While the Avengers were away... Bob and Matt cover New Avengers #7-12, Hickman's 'Infinity' tie-in, where the Illuminati fight their secret war during Thanos's invasion of Earth. The incursions don't pause for the Mad Titan, and the Illuminati's impossible choices only get harder — with Black Bolt facing Thanos himself and a world-killing decision looming. It's the darkest chapter of the saga so far. Matt defends the Illuminati's math; Bob thinks someone should have called Captain America. The fallout sets up everything after.

Uncanny Treks: Infinity (2013, Comic)

Infinity — all of it. Bob and Matt take on Hickman's 2013 event in full: Infinity #1-6 plus Avengers #14-23, the two-front war that defines the saga. In deep space, Captain America leads the Avengers against the Builders in a galactic coalition; back on Earth, Thanos invades with the Black Order, exploiting a secret tied to the Inhumans while the planet's defenders are away. Jim Cheung, Jerome Opeña, and Dustin Weaver draw the biggest Marvel event of the decade. The hosts ask: does it earn its scale? The answer is complicated — and loud.

Uncanny Treks: The Infinity Gauntlet (1991, Comic)

The snap heard 'round the universe. Bob and Matt tackle 1991's The Infinity Gauntlet, Jim Starlin's landmark event (with Ron Lim on art) where Thanos assembles the six Infinity Gems and wipes out half of all life with a snap of his fingers — all to impress Death herself. Earth's heroes mount a desperate stand against a god, and the cosmic heavyweights line up to fail first. It's the story the MCU built its first decade on. Matt's read it a dozen times; Bob measures the comic against the movies and finds the comic weirder.

Uncanny Treks: New Avengers 1-6 (2013, Comic)

Everything dies. Bob and Matt turn to the other half of Hickman's saga: New Avengers #1-6, 'Everything Dies' (2013), where the Illuminati — Black Panther, Reed Richards, Iron Man, the Beast, Namor, Black Bolt, and Doctor Strange — confront the incursions: parallel Earths on collision courses, and only one world can survive. Steve Epting draws comics' most uncomfortable moral calculus: build the weapon to commit genocide, or let both universes die. Matt calls it the best thing Hickman ever wrote; Bob is still deciding whether he likes any of these people.

Uncanny Treks: Avengers 7-11 (2013, Comic)

The universe is being rebuilt — over ours. Bob and Matt continue Hickman's Avengers with #7-11, 'The Last White Event,' where Ex Nihilo's origin bombs and the Builders' grand design push the Marvel Universe toward apocalypse. Dustin Weaver and Mike Deodato render the cosmic-scale dread while the Avengers scramble to understand what's coming. It's setup with a capital S — and the hosts debate whether Hickman's slow burn is genius or indulgence. The Last White Event is only the beginning.

Uncanny Treks: Avengers 1-6 (2013, Comic)

The biggest Avengers ever — assembled. Bob and Matt begin Jonathan Hickman's Marvel epic with Avengers #1-6, 'Avengers World' (2013), where Tony Stark expands the roster to its largest ever because something is coming. Jerome Opeña and Adam Kubert draw the new recruits while the Builders loom on the horizon. It's the launch of the most ambitious Avengers run ever attempted. Matt's been waiting to do this saga; Bob straps in for the long haul.
