Many of us say "protect my boundary", like a mantra. To protect our boundaries, first of all, we need to understand what is a boundary and how it feels when a boundary is crossed. In Chinese culture, 距离产生美 (jù lí chǎn shēng měi), or "distance creates beauty", is an expression of how stepping back or staying away a little bit can actually generate appreciation, understanding, perspective, and beauty. Abundance - busy, 忙 (máng), and a slowly dying heart

Busy, or busyness, in Chinese, it is 忙 (máng). 忙 is made of the radical for “heart” (on the left) and the word “death” or “dying“ (on the right). In Chinese, busy literally looks like "heart dying". When we are perpetually busy, our heart will lose its spark, and it will die out slowly. Lots of stress related diseases are also heart related. Being busy all the time is quite literally killing us slowly. Let's all be less busy, do less, and just be sometimes. Give our body, mind, and heart a break. Thank you for watching and listening! Abundance - Generosity, No String Attached, Yet, It All Comes Back.

Generosity is a vital part of the Abundance Mindset ecosystem. It means that we believe "there is enough for everyone and there is enough if we share." It also means "we give without expectation or attachment", aka, no string attached. Generosity is different from negotiation, diplomacy, exchange, trade, do a favor, or making a deal. It is an action that says, "I want you to do well and I want to support you. At the same time, I want nothing in return." (note: generosity is not saviorism) Generosity is also a flowing energy, it is reciprocal. We give and we receive. It is important to allow ourselves to receive generosity, as well. Belonging is a hyper-used word today. "We value belonging" "Everyone belongs here", etc. What does belonging mean? Who always belong? Whose belonging is it? How do we ensure belonging for everyone? Abundance - Gratitude Allows Us To See Beauty

Gratitude isn't simplified positivity. It is being able to acknowledge how hard life can be, and still be grateful and thankful for what we have. The practice of Gratitude helps us recenter and reground ourselves, reduce the influence of ego and the "me me me" thinking, and remove the "victim" ideation from our mindset. Gratitude allows us to see the beauty of humanity and the world. It is, indeed, a crucial part of the Abundance Mindset. Thank you for watching and listening! Saying "I am sorry" can be hard. Taking accountability can be even harder. Our pride and ego can, sometimes, be our biggest obstacle when it comes to taking ownership of what we say and do. What if, making an apology and taking accountability is, in fact, a practice of the Abundance Mindset? Abundance - The Myth of Self-Sufficiency.

Many of us aspire or try hard to be self-sufficient. Some even wear it as a badge of honor. "I did it all by myself." As social animals, it is impractical, at times, even cruel, for us to expect everyone to be self-sufficient. It is scarcity-driven and ultra-individualistic. While we all strive to be independent people, it is also crucial to have familial, communal, and systemic support. To know that we are not alone, that we are supported and loved, and that we don't always have to be "able" or "sufficient", is extremely important for our wellbeing and abundance.
