YAC for YAC #2: Trinitarian Love
"In the Trinity, God the Father gives love to God the Son. God the Son receives love, and He doesn't keep that love for Himself. He continues that exchange by giving back to the Father, and it becomes a cycle. Inside that cycle, is the exchange of love and that is who God the Holy Spirit is." - Kay-Anne For our 2nd episode of Young Adult Catechism for young adult Catholics (YAC for YAC), Kay-Anne explains the Holy Trinity and Trinitarian Love, including examples of its presence in our daily lives as individuals and couples. YAC Ep.27: Behold Your Mother
YAC Ep.27: Behold Your Mother One of the biggest things that changed my life is learning that Mary is like the moon... she reflects Jesus, not taking away from the Sun (Jesus) or from His shine. She reflects Him and will always bring me close to Him. - Janel When we allow ourselves to be entrusted to Mama Mary's heart, she entrusts our hearts to her Son. The beautiful thing about her is that she doesn't just pray for the whole world, she prays for YOU individually and gives us the strength to fully surrender to her Son. - Kay-Anne How can you say you love God, and not His mother?... Out of any other human, she knows Him the best. She was the one changing him with the equivalent of diapers back then. She took care of our Lord in every way, shape, or form. - Daniel Before the end of this month of May, this episode focuses on the significance of Mother Mary in our unique lives as we discuss her important role as our mother in reference to John 19:25-29. We pray this episode can be used as an instrument for each of you to grow in your relationship with the Blessed Mother. Remember: to Jesus through Mary! YAC Ep. 26: O Death Where is your sting
"When we think about our death as Catholics, it reminds us of the truth of the resurrection. Death doesn't have the last say, but God does." - Kay-Anne "God knew what Adam and Eve were gonna do before they even did it. It was necessary so that Jesus can come and save us later... if it wasnt for Adam's 'truly necessary sin', we wouldn't have been saved in the way we've been saved by Jesus." - Janel "It's really beautiful what happens when you're faithful to God - how much you get taken care of by God, how much He loves you and will protect you. Then later after you die, how much He'll glorify you." - Daniel ALLELUIA! Happy Easter season! In this episode, we talked about the significance of the Resurrection, what it means to each of us, and how death does not have the last say. YAC Ep. 25: Balancing Faith and Life
YAC Ep. 25: Balancing Life and Faith "Reminder: We're not working for this world. We're not working for man. We're working for God." - Daniel "If I could just take a minute out of the day to stand or sit in front of the crucifix, close my eyes, pray and thank God for the blessings - I think that would be a better balance." - Janel "No matter what work you're in or occupation you have, that is not your worth. Your worth is not your productivity; your worth is belonging to God alone." - Kay-Anne In this episode, we talked about our careers, faith goals, and tips to improve that balance. What does life look like for you? How are you living out your faith? What tips do you have to prioritize your faith? Check the links in the bio to listen on Spotify, YouTube, or RSS Feed! YAC Ep 24: New Year, Same God
"Last year, I learned how to practice my faith with the reframe of viewing my life as: one day I'm going to die, but I want to live for Heaven so how can I pursue sanctity and abide by God in everything that I do?" - Kay-Anne "It was hard to remember not to take work home and not to make it my life because my vocation isn't being a nurse - my main vocation is being a Daughter of God." - Janel "If I'm patient, it will give God more time to prepare whatever He is making me wait for even more fruitful and more joyful, versus always getting what I want right away and taking it for granted." - Daniel Happy New Year! For our first episode of 2022, we shared our 2021 reflections, life updates, and New Year resolutions. What are your "words" for last year? What are you looking forward to this year?
