UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham has agreed to a plan for his successor. Steve Newmark, president of Roush Fenway Keslowski Racing, will become Carolina's new athletic director. Bubba Cunningham, who has been in the role since 2011, has signed a two-year extension and will transition to the role as senior advisor to the chancellor. He will serve as AD for the upcoming academic year. Newmark is a Chapel Hill native. He will take over as athletic director next summer.
